Your bought links rot a little every week.
LinkRot puts a price on the damage and names the links to fix. It watches every backlink you paid for and tells you how much of your link budget is rotting right now.

Daily checks
What LinkRot checks, every day
- Page alive
- HTTP status and redirects. A 404, a 410 or a redirect to the homepage means the page you paid for is gone.
- Link present
- Your URL is still in the HTML, with the anchor text you agreed on.
- Still followed
- No nofollow, sponsored or ugc attribute added after you paid for a followed link.
- Indexable
- No noindex meta tag or header, and the canonical still points at the page itself.
- Indexed in Google
- We query Google for the exact URL and keep the history. Two misses in a row count as dropped.
- Domain still worth it
- Domain authority and spam score once a month, so you notice when a site turns into a link farm.
- Term expiry
- You enter the date you paid until. We remind you two weeks before, so you can renew or renegotiate.
- Priced
- Every link carries what you paid, in your currency. Dead and at-risk links add up to one number you can act on.

Is this a backlink checker like Ahrefs?
No. Ahrefs finds links you did not know about. LinkRot watches the links you already have and paid for, and tells you when one stops working.
What exactly counts as rotting?
The page is gone, your link was removed, it got a nofollow, sponsored or ugc attribute, the page was set to noindex or its canonical points elsewhere, it dropped out of Google's index, the anchor text changed, the term you paid for expired, or the domain's authority and spam score moved against you.
How often do you check?
Daily on paid plans. The weekly report sums it up. An alert goes out the moment a link dies, after two consecutive failed checks, so a flaky server does not wake you up.
How do you know if a page is indexed?
We query Google for the exact URL through a SERP API and record the result over time. Two consecutive misses count as dropped.
Which currencies can I use?
Any. You pick a currency for your account and enter what you paid per link. We never convert, we just add it up.
Who is behind LinkRot?
Netbase Media Ltd. in Hungary, the makers of the SEO Metrics Snapshot Chrome extension (about 485 users). The founder buys links for 30+ markets in his day job and built the tool he was missing.
What happens with my data and the pages you fetch?
We fetch public pages only, store the check results for your account, and never resell or publish your link list. Free checks are rate-limited per visitor and the URLs are not kept. Details in the privacy policy.
Refunds?
14 days, no questions asked, on every plan including the founding offer.
